New Hyundai Santa Cruz

New Hyundai Santa Cruz production numbers start rolling in ahead of the launch of the first model in 2018. The range-topping variant of the small crossover is referred to by some as the ‘Premium’ trim.

The previous information on the Santa Cruz was released last year, giving us an idea about the number of units Hyundai is planning for the new model. At that time, the company promised more than 2.5 million deliveries from the Santa Cruz range in ten years. The most prominent share of sales for the Santa Cruz is expected to come from Mexico and South America.

The second production figure we have today comes from Hyundai’s most important home market in South Korea. In that country, the company expects to produce 1,385 units of the new Santa Cruz per month. The original concept of the Santa Cruz was unveiled in 2012 at the LA Auto Show.

Hyundai is planning to launch the first Santa Cruz with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
