Ford launches limited edition GT in honor of 1964 prototype

We often describe groundbreaking models as “unique.” Ford has just done so for one of its most iconic prototypes, the original GT40, with the launch of a new special edition of its GT supercar.
The GT40, now officially called the GT40 MK VI GT, is the second road car produced under the exclusive name and is built in Detroit for a select group of buyers who want a rare, high-performance machine. A coupé version was introduced in late 2011 with prices starting at just over $250,000.
