Nissan’s first attempt at a sports car was their Skyline GTS-R which has been sold to the tune of some 300,000 units worldwide.
Nissan Skyline GTR
This has been the flagship of Nissan’s sports car range since 1994. Originally known as the GT3, the GT3 badge has been used to mark the flagship since 1997.
This version of the sports car is based on the GTS-R chassis and is intended for competition as a GT3 car, but due to its high cost and emissions, it has yet to make its way into the everyday sports car market.
More exclusive than an Aston Martin DB9
Unlike its GT3 racing counterpart, this GT3 version is a more exclusive version with just 2,500 examples being produced by Nissan. The GT3 also uses a carbon fibre-bodied body that has been slightly adapted for road use.
With just 390 being sold worldwide, you’ll need a deep pocket to buy one.
